Carmen Mota has dedicated her whole life to Spanish ballet. This love is reflected in each of her shows, in which she makes the public vibrate with her particular aesthetic sense. Her art is known worldwide for her innovative choreographies, of very diverse styles, that fuse modern and traditional Spanish dance.
Carmen Mota, born in Madrid, began as a child in the world of dance, dancing in various companies. When she was 17, she was already acting as first soloist of the show of the famous dancer Antonio.
Her popularity increased after the creation of her first company in 1977 with which she toured Spain, Europe, the U.S.A. and Canada. The media echoed this success and invited her to participate in various television programs.
As her recognition in the national and international artistic world increased her prestige, figures such as Lola Flores or Carmen Amaya assigned her the choreography of their shows.
It should be noted that, in addition, the presentation of her choreographic creations in events of world relevance such as the Change of Millennium Celebration in the Reichstag in Berlin and the annual festivals of the Sporting Club of Montecarlo and, until the end of last year in the prestigious Escala of Madrid.
